PDAM, PLN & token electricity
Water utility (PDAM) vs delivery; state grid (PLN) vs generator; prepaid token meters are common in villas.
PDAM is the municipal water utility where connected; many rural villas instead rely on wells, filters, and trucked water top-ups—ask what is actually in service, not the label in the brochure.
PLN is the state electricity provider. Some compounds supplement with generators during outages. Long-term renters should confirm kWh capacity for AC + office gear.
Token prepaid meters are widespread: you buy a 20-digit PLN token code and punch it into the meter. When the unit chirps, credits are almost gone—keep spare codes before guests arrive.
