A ravine-edge or gorge-front plot sits above deep valleys—often called the premium “river gorge view” pitch around Ubud. Drama and breezes come with geotechnical homework.
Foundations, retaining structures, and drainage matter more than on flat land. Seasonal storms load slopes harder; insurance and emergency access routes deserve scrutiny.
Abing is one local word you may hear for ravine geography—same diligence applies whichever label marketing uses.
