Foundations (pondasi)

Structural base engineered for earthquakes and volcanic soils—deep piles or “cakar ayam” (chicken-claw) grids are common patterns.

Pondasi (foundations) carry the building’s loads into the ground. In Bali, engineers must account for seismic risk and variable volcanic soils that can change stiffness with moisture.

Villa projects may use deep piles or “cakar ayam” (chicken-claw) style spread footings to improve stability. Good foundations are invisible when done right—and extremely expensive when done wrong after cracking appears.
