Pajak

Property deals and rentals in Indonesia involve different taxes, including transfer taxes and income-based withholding on rental earnings.

Pajak simply means tax. In Bali real estate, buyers, sellers, and owners all face different tax obligations depending on the transaction.

Most conversations reference BPHTB (buyer-side acquisition tax on many transfers), PPh (seller-side income tax on many sale structures), and rental-income rules such as 10% withholding in certain setups.

Rates and labels shift with asset class and structuring—confirm line items with your notary and tax advisor rather than trusting headline “tax included” chat.
