Infinity pool
A pool edge designed so water visually meets the horizon, often aligned with jungle or sawah views in Ubud listings.
An infinity pool uses a lowered catch basin—the infinity edge—so water appears to spill into jungle, rice fields, or sky. In Ubud marketing it is the classic hero shot.
Engineering matters as much as aesthetics: overflow weir cleaning, pump sizing, safe routes around a wet edge, and night lighting so guests do not misread the lip.
Compare listings on whether the vanishing line aligns with the view you actually use in daylight and wet season, not only the photographer’s angle.
