Infinity pool
A pool edge designed so water visually meets the horizon, often aligned with jungle or sawah views in Ubud listings.
An infinity pool (often called a vanishing edge pool) uses a lowered catch basin so water appears to spill into the horizon. In Ubud marketing, it is frequently composed to merge visually with jungle canopy or rice fields.
The effect is powerful for photography and guest experience, but engineering matters: edge detailing, pump systems, overflow maintenance, and safe walking lines around the wet edge.
When comparing listings, confirm whether the “infinity” view is stable across seasons and whether the edge faces the view you actually use during the day, not only the hero camera angle.
