Berapa
The key Indonesian question word for asking price: “How much?”.
Berapa means “how much” and is one of the first practical words most long-stay foreigners learn. In full sentences you often hear Berapa harganya?; in markets people sometimes shorten to a quick “berapa” tone.
Used politely, it opens price conversation in markets and small shops without requiring full Indonesian fluency.
