Banten
A general term for Balinese offerings made from palm leaves, flowers, and other elements to maintain spiritual balance.
Banten is a broad term for ritual offerings in Balinese Hindu practice. They can range from small daily arrangements to more elaborate ceremonial forms.
In villa life, staff may place banten around entrances, shrines, and key areas of the property as part of normal spiritual upkeep. This is not decoration in a hotel-design sense, but part of the local religious framework.
Understanding that helps residents relate respectfully to the space they are living in.
