Banjar

Local neighborhood council beneath the desa—often involved in ceremonies, noise norms, and dispute mediation.

A banjar is a community governance layer in Bali, under the village (desa adat structures vary by area). Practically, it can affect everything from ceremony noise schedules to how conflicts with neighbors are mediated.

For renters, good relations with staff and neighbors—and awareness of major temple/event calendars—prevent many frictions that no contract clause will elegantly solve.
